The Food Preparation Technique of Blending

There are many different types of food preparation techniques but the one I will be discussing today is “Blend”. To blend something is to mix two or more ingredients together until they are combined.

Blending can be very useful in the kitchen and there have been studies done to debate whether it is simply better teat food normally or blend it together. In this study,  “they found that when people who drank the blended “soup,” it kept them from feeling hungry for about an hour longer than the whole-food meal.” which I find extremely interesting. I wonder why this occurs because I would think that it would take longer for the whole foods to digest in your stomach, than for soup.

Additionally, there are so many types of blenders so finding the perfect one to suit your kitchen is simple. Vitamix, Blendtec, Ninja Kitchen, Kitchen Aid and Breville are all different brands that make blenders. They come with all sorts of features to emulsify and liquify food as well as being able to mix foods into a thick consistency and smooth texture.
